2018 Future Leader Program
About the program
The Retail Bank's Future Leader Program has been designed to attract Australia's most talented emerging leaders. It is a program which will challenge you but will bring out the very best of your potential in order to help propel your long term leadership career with us. We want to hear from ambitious future leaders who can innovate, create a sense of community, who inspire, and who live core values such as integrity, collaboration, accountability, excellence, and service.
What you'll experience
Beginning in February 2018, you will experience a 12 month rotation across our core retail channels which includes our Retail Branch Network, Direct Channels Contact Centres and Lending. You will also spend time with our digital business where you and your fellow Future Leaders work together on design thinking project work helping to solve real business problems. You will receive ongoing training & development, you'll have access to best in class leadership, and you will work on deliverables that have a genuine impact on our customers and business. During this time you will navigate many areas of the retail bank helping you to get a flavour for what the future could look like as you roll off the program into your future leadership career.

Great work-life balance, surrounded by brilliant people
It is a very big organisation and there are many opportunities outside your business area. There are secondment roles opportunities which give you a chance to try a role outside your speciality. The Graduate Program has provided excellent conferences all throughout the year which are very valuable for our professional development.
Great workplace culture with lots of career development. People are friendly and willing to help.
Flexible working arrangements Ability to move around to different teams Different initiatives that run in the bank, that you're able to join The number of networks you're able to make
A great place to work - there is flexible work culture, we are strongly focused on helping our community, plus the pay is good too :)
Fairly strict graduate rotation policy, not full freedom of where we can rotate
Large company so at times it can be very difficult to get what you need quickly and hard to deliver projects unless you know the right people.
Red tape, things can sometimes move slowly Lots of meetings, some unnecessary
Remuneration compared to the market.
The legacy tech that slows down development can sometimes be frustrating/require workarounds.
