Defence seeks applicants who will not only contribute to the current strategic HR environment but will shape the people environment that will support our future workforce needs. The Human Resources stream takes 12-months to complete and consists of three rotations of four months each. The first of these is undertaken in Canberra, with the possibility of one in a regional area for those who want a further challenge. Rotations are offered across the entire Department, two will be undertaken in an area with a 'people' focus.
The four sub-streams within Human Resources we recruit for including Occupational Health and Safety; Workforce Planning; Training and Development or Human Resources Management. We are seeking graduates who have completed or are in their final year of a degree with any HR major, including Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations; Organisational Development, or Psychology for work in such areas as:
Salary: $68,442 pa + 15.4% superannuation. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will advance to APS 4: $76,215 pa + 15.4% superannuation.
Program: 12 months – 3 x 4 month rotations
Eligibility: Australian Citizens only
Location: Canberra (interstate rotations outside of Canberra are available)
