The Capability Pathway will be recruiting to a significant number of new opportunities for Engineers and Naval Architects across the Maritime and Naval construction sector (within the future ship and submarine projects). To support these unprecedented multi-billion dollar projects, the Maritime Engineering and Naval Construction job Stream (within the Capability Pathway) will provide university graduates with an exciting and unique opportunity to be a part of this significant contribution to Australian Navy capability.
The Australian Government's commitment to naval shipbuilding in Australia, covering both ship and submarine programs, will create significant long term job opportunities within the Department of Defence, focusing on systems engineering activities in requirements definition, review of industry's activities and acceptance throughout the design development, build, integration and sustainment phases. As a graduate engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of technology Streams and systems such as:
Rotations may include shipyards, project offices, design offices, industry and land-based test sites in Australia.
Graduate rotation opportunities will be available in Adelaide, Perth, Canberra.
Throughout the graduate program, you will be provided with meaningful training and development opportunities, with access to cutting edge technology and opportunities to engage with key project stakeholders.
Salary: $68,442 pa + 15.4% superannuation. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will advance to APS 5: $76,661 pa + 15.4% superannuation.
Program: 18 months – 3 x 6 month rotations (one in Canberra)
Eligibility: Australian Citizens only
