What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
I receive a very good starting salary as a graduate, and there are many opportunities for progression. I do not believe that the Department offers bonuses.
Graduate, Canberra - 19 Nov 2018
For what I do, the pay is fine. But I want to do more, and earn more.
Graduate, Canberra - 15 Nov 2018
Pretty low to begin with for a grad
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Nov 2018
Flex time is fantastic and pay is reasonable
Graduate, Canebrra - 05 Nov 2018
The pay is above average for a graduate program. It also increases as you increase in APS levels
Graduate, Perth - 01 Nov 2018
I think they are reasonable.
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2018
The pay is definitely comfortable, but grads are working well above their pay grade.

No bonuses, the pay is decent and a very welcome change coming from being a student, though it is a bit disheartening to know that we are generally performing at the level of APS5 and only paid at the APS3 level. This is about a $15,000 difference annually.
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2018
There are no bonuses and the salary is pretty good for an entry level job.
Graduate, Canberra - 29 Oct 2018
Pay and bonuses are specifically linked to your APS level. There is not much flexibility around this.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
The Department offered relocation benefits and assistance upon moving to Canberra. It also offers very generous leave allowances and flex time benefits.
Graduate, Canberra - 19 Nov 2018
Good superannuation.
Graduate, Canberra - 15 Nov 2018
Flex time Public service hours
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Nov 2018

Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2018
Flex time is a wonderful perk, being able to accrue any extra time you are required to work and then use this to take full or partial days off work without using annual/sick leave.
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2018
The flexible work conditions. As part of the graduate program my move interstate was also covered.
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2018
I have two: the barber in 1 National Circuit is excellent, and you meet amazingly smart and influential people. I remember seeing Lucy Turnbull in civvies lining up to get a coffee downstairs, very casual.
Graduate, Canberra - 29 Oct 2018
relocation costs are covered if you are moving from interstate to CBR (petrol if you driving here is covered and food for the time when you leave your home state to your arrival at 3 weeks paid accommodation until you find a house). Attendance at 4 of the grad series and any other random kind of conferences etc that may appear you will usually be able to attend.
