Downer's Power Generation and Industrial division is a trusted partner to some of the world's most successful energy and resources companies, safely delivering innovative solutions with the sole aim to increase our customers' production and profits - delivering engineering and construction, asset maintenance and contract mining services. We support whole-of-life assets from initial feasibility and design, through to construction, commissioning, operation and ongoing asset management, and eventual decommissioning.

Role will include:

  • Switchboard, Transportable buildings and general manufacturing
  • Preparation and design of single line diagrams, schematics, general arrangement drawings
  • Preparation and design of lighting studies, grading studies and cable schedules
  • Selection of electrical and fabrication materials
  • Preparation of job packages and final product documentation

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly motivated to learn and succeed, with the ability to work unsupervised with a high work ethic
  • A good communicator, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills, with ability to use AutoCAD ideal
  • Ability to work within a dynamic team
  • A holder of a graduate diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or working towards it

Desirable:

  • Able to demonstrate prior exposure to site environments within a related heavy industry
