Are you a future Graduate looking to become part of a connected Global Enterprise? We are currently looking for hardworking Graduates to join our 2020 Graduate Development program based in Sydney.
Our Graduate Development Program is integrated and holistic in developing our future leaders and technical specialists, with a program that provides graduates with the tools, mentoring and opportunities needed to establish and build a successful career within the industry. We offer full-time ongoing roles, an option to rotate into 2 different Business Groups, mentoring and guaranteed lots of learning and fun!
Working within one of our experienced multi-disciplinary teams, you will
- Support the team working on a diverse range project and delivering to multiple clients
- Deliver and be accountable for technical project delivery
- Develop your skills working on decision-making, communication, and technical skills
- Our Sydney Region has a variety of graduate roles commencing in February 2020. With a few spots left we are seeking graduates who are completing their degree in the following area; Civil Engineering - With a strong interest in either Structure, Waste, Roads and Water

The great people, it is a fun place to work. Lots of variety in the work that you do, working for a big company you are able to be challenged and take on bigger projects.
Cons
"Reasonable overtime" is up to 45 hours per week. Not exclusive to GHD, its common in all consultancy environments. Can be a high-stress job
Lots of people, easy to become just a number.
The work is utilisation based - slow periods can be concerning, as you are meant to be hitting utilisation targets
The long working hours when multiple proposals are due on the same day.
My team currently has structural issues re skill levels so that there are very few mid career people to dedicate enough time in developing graduates as the senior/principal engineers are often to busy/expensive to do so.
