What will I be doing?

  • Ensure the successful operation of monthly data ETL processes and first level IT support.
  • Have exposure into the broader operations of the business, embracing DevOps culture in automation, application delivery and coded infrastructure deployment.
  • Working across a broad range of Cloud technologies and be proactive in finding and recommending solutions to improve current practice.
  • Ensure monthly data import processes are completed within SLA's. Some flexibility in work availability may be required for this.

Required Professional and Technical Knowledge:

  • ETL processes (flat file, JSON, excel)
  • FTP(s) data transfer
  • SQL query, update, insert
  • Basic Microsoft SQL Server Administration (backup, restore)
  • General Linux and Windows system administration

You will develop skills in:

  • AWS Cloud, specifically EC2
  • IBM Cloud
  • Tableau administration
  • Networking fundamentals (routing, VPN, network security, DNS)
  • Scripting and automation (Python, Powershell, SQL)

Preferred Education – Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
