About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our friendly Finance Team, to cover a maternity leave until January 2021.

You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of the financial data for balance sheet accounts specifically attributable to Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), working in conjunction with the ANZ Financial Control Manager and team.

You will be responsible for:

• Review of balance sheet accounts during monthly and year end
• Contribute to answering external auditors and prepare for annual audit
• Coordination and review of all accounting transactions processed by the shared services function
• Response to and resolution of queries stakeholders.
• Participation in exciting global projects

To be considered for this role you will have proven experience performing a similar role within the professional services industry.

The successful person will be:

• Minimum 3-5 years proven working experience in Financial Accountant.
• Minimum of a Bachelor Commerce Accounting or Bachelor Computer Accounting degree.
• Excellent technical computer skills with highly advanced Excel and Access knowledge.
• You will have proven professional communication and engagement skills
• Strong financial awareness and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work unsupervised, show initiative and self-motivation to achieve set goals timely and efficiently.
