About the opportunity

In this role you’ll provide effective delivery of assigned services and assist the wider Cost Management team in the provision of Cost Management Services to ensure that all client expectations and requirements are met within agreed timelines, budget and quality.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in identifying and advising on the most appropriate design and construction process to the client
  • Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in accurately forecasting and assessing the cost, time, quality and buildability of a project
  • Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing or assisting in preparation of pre-contract documentation
  • Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing and controlling costs though the life of the project

  • Tertiary – Griffith University 6 Storey New Academic Building, Nathan campus, QLD
  • Rail – Platform Upgrade Works Central Rail Station, QLD
  • Defence – Tindal 6 RAAF Base Redevelopment & Airfield Works, Tindal, NT
  • Schools – various school expansions; Beenleigh SHS, Forest Lake SHS, Glenala SHS, QLD
  • Heritage – Brisbane Arcade Façade Rejuvenation Works, QLD
  • Public Space – Upgrade of Queen St and Brunswick St Malls, QLD
  • Hospital – Sunshine Coast University Hospital, QLD
  • Tertiary – University of New England - Robb College, Armidale, NSW

About you

We are seeking graduates with:

  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Eligible for membership of AIQS, RICS or equivalent 
  • Technically inquisitive 
  • Good written communication skills, including report writing and proposal preparation
  • Good verbal communication skills, including ability to engage with clients
  • The ability to operate with a level of autonomy in completing directed tasks
  • Strong focus on safety of self and others.
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective 
  • Ask questions and challenge the norm 
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
