About the opportunity: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Graduate

The Melbourne based HSE Graduate role will be responsible for providing specialist HSE support and coordination, and advise on safety practices, systems and procedures. They will be monitoring compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to Project Management and Leadership Teams in their designated operations.

The HSE Graduate position will also include undertaking safety audits and safety walks, involvement in coaching and mentoring of Project Safety Advisors and Trainees and be active champions of increasing overall Health and safety culture, awareness and performance in their designated areas.

To be considered for this role you will ideally need the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational, Health & Safety, Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline is desirable
• Willing and eager to learn from an experienced team
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessing or demonstrated practical experience
• Other HSE related training – Working at heights, confined space etc. will be highly regarded
• Be technically inquisitive
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Have the ability to work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
• Communicate exceptionally well
• Ask questions and challenge the norm
• Valid Driver’s Licence
