About the Opportunity: Undergraduate Structural Engineer
 
The Australia and New Zealand Built Environment team operates across a diverse range of sectors including, Health, Research, Education, Defence, Transport, Urban Development and Aviation. Within these sectors we offer the full range of integrated services across architecture, civil and structural engineering, project management, transport and environmental design and project delivery. In the role, you will work independently and under the guidance of Senior Engineers to provide detailed structural solutions for projects. You will also be given the opportunity to apply judgement and initiative in the application of engineering principles, techniques, and prescribed methods of engineering analysis, design and computation.

Some of the exciting projects that we are currently delivering include;

  • Australian Education City in Melbourne,
  • West Gate Tunnel project,
  • Victorian Rail Infrastructure Program,
  • Melbourne Airport expansion
  • High Capacity Metro Train - Pakenham

As a Jacobs Undergraduate you will be providing specialist engineering design and project management input to multi-disciplinary teams at the forefront of building design.

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • Complete your degree in 2019 (Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar)
  • Be technically inquisitive
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
  • Communicate exceptionally well
  • Ask questions and challenge the norm
  • Be able to commence on 19 November 2018 and work through to March 2019 
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
