About the Opportunity: Undergraduate GIS Analyst
 
Our Environmental & Spatial team have an established reputation for delivering successful projects across Australia and as a result, we have a strong pipeline of works. The Spatial team specialises in spatial data management/engineering surveys, GIS analysis and presentation.
An exciting opportunity exists for an undergraduate studying science, GIS, geospatial or similar degree to join our team based in Sydney. Your role with Jacobs will include supporting engineering design by managing the collection, processing, integration and analysis of geospatial data. By joining the Jacobs Internship Program, you will be given the opportunity to develop data management workflows and practices for survey, GIS and digital engineering capabilities to use survey and spatial data throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

As an Intern at Jacobs you will gain exposure to a range of disciplines, allowing you to build on the specialist knowledge you’ve gained at university. 
The successful candidate will:

  • Complete your degree in 2019 (Bachelor of Science, GIS/Geospatial/Geographical)
  • Be technically inquisitive
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
  • Communicate exceptionally well
  • Ask questions and challenge the norm
  • Be able to commence on 19 November 2018 and work through to March 2019 
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
