Jetstar Graduate Program

  • Take off on an exciting career path in the aviation industry
  • Check in for a 24-month graduate program with several role rotations
  • Get ready for boarding: February 2019 in our Melbourne Head Office

The Jetstar Group is one of Asia Pacific's fastest growing airlines. Our vision is simple; to make the world more accessible, connecting people with people and people with experiences. Those who once couldn't fly, now can, and often.

The Jetstar Group has airlines in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and Vietnam. Since launch in 2004, we have grown from a team of 700 to 7,600 and have flown more than 250 million passengers. Jetstar continues to grow rapidly. We now have over 130 aircraft offering more than 5000 flights a week to over 85 places across the Asia Pacific Region.

Our two-year rotational program offers a diverse, exciting and supporting environment designed to develop your technical capabilities and prepare you for future leadership positions. Through the programme you will get a range of experiences across the business that will set you up to fly high within Jetstar.

We offer two programs as follows:

  • A generalist program which will see you rotating through 4 x 6-month rotations. We believe that some of the best experiences are gained through exposure to different departments. Rotations could include areas such as safety, engineering, ground operations, networks and planning, sales and marketing, corporate communications, digital, product and ancillary revenue, revenue management, customer care, strategy, IT and human resources.
  • A finance-streamed graduate programme. Finance graduates have a minimum of 2 rotations within 2 different finance functions, with the remaining rotations through other areas of the business.

Upon successful completion of the 2-year program, you may gain a permanent position, kick-starting a successful career in aviation. In addition, as a graduate, you'll be eligible for our attractive staff travel benefits where you will have the opportunity to explore the world and be welcomed as part of an ever-changing and dynamic organisation where you can make a real difference.

Interested? We are looking for:

  • A motivation to always learn and a willingness to adapt in an environment where change is constant.
  • High levels of resilience, flexibility, intuitiveness and a focus on keeping the customers at the heart of our decisions.
  • An ability to adapt and the flexibility to work cross-functionally across different business units through your different rotations.
  • Previous experience of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Awesome analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for aviation and working in our sector.

At Jetstar you can expect an unrivaled culture which stems from our core brand values of; being safe and responsible, being efficient, having a consistently can-do attitude, working as one team and genuinely caring about delivering great results.
