JHG has a strong culture in bonding, it has been a very enjoyable experience working in JHG team where people understand and support each other at work, but also maintaining close and healthy relationships outside work.

Culture changes from project to project. Generally really good.

Graduates tend to form social groups amongst other grads/undergrads. Cultures tend to be project/business area-specific however, most construction projects have a workaholic (cost and programme 1st) culture whereby employees and their work-life balances are placed 2nd. This appears to emanate from mid-level managers seeking results at the expense of ethics in order to make a name for themselves.

In my team, there is a typical corporate hierarchy with graduates, site and project engineers, project managers and then discipline managers. There are a strong cohesion and cooperation and teamwork in my team, everyone feels comfortable to ask a question and ask for help. I don't do a lot of socialising out of work so I can't comment on that aspect.

Great culture.

It varies a lot across different teams. Some teams are super social and welcoming, and others are just quiet and too focused on their own work to help anyone else.

Culture differs from project to project and from Head Office to project sites. Due to the long hours of work, after-hours activities are minimal except on some weekends.

Everyone is very helpful during office hours and sometimes even get together after hours for a few friendly drinks.

Great and one goal-focused team.

Trying to be more professional and corporate, but pushy with issues such as aboriginal and gender issues.

Dependent on the project to project it differs quite a lot. With a small team due to tight resources, it is difficult to handle all facets of work. (i.e. in charge of safety, quality, environment and all works associated with an engineer's role).

Colleagues are awesome, always up for a chat and a joke, serious only when required. Hierarchy isn't very strict which is excellent as there is no one person you cannot ask a question or talk to.

Friday drinks, project teams often get together for drinks/other activities. Easy to socialise with others.

Between the site engineers and onsite ground staff, the culture is enjoyable. Select senior staff put the effort in to make the workplace enjoyable.
