Thorough Interview process its great to see Lendlease don't just hire employees based on good resumes they look for personality as well, someone who can work well with others.

Midlevel, Brisbane CBD - 21 Jul 2016
Very intense group assessment however a very relaxed 1 on 1 interview afterwards.
Graduate, Port Macquarie - 20 Jul 2016
It was easy - they were taking on more graduates and it happened very quickly for our intake round. For others I have heard it is more competitive.
Graduate, Sydney - 20 Jul 2016
My first interview with Lendlease came across slightly disorganised. First, we were given a presentation about the company's values, projects etc. Secondly, we had a group assessment where we had to solve a problem. Thirdly, an one-on-one interview My second interview with Lendlease was just a casual interview
Graduate, Adelaide - 19 Jul 2016
I was a part of a second intake for the year because they suddenly had a whole bunch of spots open up. The process only involved the online questionnaire, a quick chat over the phone and a single face-to-face interview with two of the people leaders here. They were friendly and easy to talk to.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
The interview process was interesting and involved a phone, group and individual interview.
Graduate, Newcastle - 19 Jul 2016
The interview process consisted of one full day at the Sydney office. There were seven of us on the day. We partook in a group task where members of Lendlease watched our interaction and input during the exercise. We then had some speeches from Lendlease employees talking about the company and some of their experiences. This was followed by individual interviews, with one Manager from a particular department along with one member of the HR team. The interview was very relaxed and easy going.

Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
I was recruited as part of a last minute intake and so my experience is different from the general intake. I applied online and had to answer screening questions that related to problem solving and values. Following this I was invited to a face-to-face interview and then offered the position.

Problem based questions - "Talk about a time when you had to solve a difficult problem", team based questions such as how I dealt with problem team members, etc.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
Group interview they give you 4 pages of information to read over 10 minutes then you are told to conduct a 50min mock board meeting to discuss the information and make decisions as a group based on this information. One-on-one interviews ask for a lot of instances where you experienced a situation previously, eg. When have you previously had to manage a difficult customer?

Graduate, Brisbane - 19 Jul 2016
Generic questions about myself and past experience. Traits were uncovered through group interview.
Graduate, Melbourne - 19 Jul 2016
Behavioural and circumstantial questions were asked. as well as company knowledge related.
Graduate, Brisbane - 19 Jul 2016
I was asked things like "do you know what the position involves?", "where would you like to be in the future/ 5 years?", "why have you decided not to do architecture?" "How do you manage all the extra curricular with uni and work?" But mostly we just had a conversation. They threw a couple of curveball questions in at the end like "can you recall a time when you had a to make a quick decision?" but I think by that stage of the interview they had already decided they were keen to hire me so even though I may not have answered those ones that well, there wasn't so much pressure. They also got us to watch a couple of training videos and asked me what I thought about the company's diversity policy (i.e. men and women, different trade backgrounds, experiences, etc)
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
I was asked to give various examples of where I'd be collaborative & overcome obstacles in my work experience. I was also asked about how my values aligned with that of the company and was specifically asked about some volunteer work that I had done. They also asked me to essentially sell them on why I should be hired.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
Know the role you are applying for, and whats involved. There are also many forums of people who are going through the same interview process, its good to learn from other people's mistakes and what they've done right.

Graduate, Melbourne - 22 Jul 2016
Trying be as you and be honest
Midlevel, Brisbane CBD - 21 Jul 2016
Know yourself and know what you want, ask questions. I was hired partly to meet the engineering female graduate quotas so for me the hiring process was not as competitive, but it can be really hard in some grad intakes so bring your A game! Oh, and use the STAR interview question response framework. Look that up. Very useful.
Graduate, Sydney - 20 Jul 2016
Investigate the company, it's history and projects and know how it operates meaning investigate how you can add value to the company.
Graduate, Brisbane - 19 Jul 2016
Read about core values etc and superficial details on company website, have degree and experience, be good
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
Come up with great examples of work-related scenarios well before the interview - and practice them! Be articulate and confident - do not make it up on the spot. Dress professionally. Ultimately - just be yourself. If you are not the right fit for the company don't try to force yourself into a culture that will make you unhappy!
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
Be truthful to yourself and display your best qualities. This way you be matched with the right manager and succeed within whichever company you get offered to work for.
Midlevel, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
Being the loud confident person in the group interview is not the best way to get through. Measured and accurate comments that make sense are a lot more worthwhile. Don't try to steer the ship without information to back you up.
Graduate, Melbourne - 19 Jul 2016
Be yourself and be prepared to stand out in the group simulation.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
Think through each question carefully and answer truthfully.

Graduate, Melbourne - 19 Jul 2016
I would recommend talking to current graduates such as myself to gain an understanding of the process.
Graduate, Newcastle - 19 Jul 2016
Past work experience is an important factor, seemingly more so than grades. Teamwork and social skills are also very important - you will always be working in high-pressure team environment so it's important that you can demonstrate those qualities.
Graduate, Brisbane - 19 Jul 2016
I would be very careful that they understand the lifestyle requirements of the job, it looks good from the outside but is very hard on you, your friends and family on the inside.
Midlevel, Sydney - 19 Jul 2016
Bring supporting documentation Team-fit and personal attitude is very important
