What does our team do?

Our Employee Health and Benefits business works with employers to assist them in providing a suite of valued insurance programs to their workforce.  The insurance programs include private health insurance, salary continuance (an insurance that provides salary replacement in the event that the employee is unable to work due to injury or illness), life insurance (a lump sum benefit in the event of the death of an employee), international health insurance (medical cover for employees who are posted overseas), corporate travel and income protection.  Our team works closely with clients (usually their HR department) to design the insurance programs and help administer them.  We also work closely with the insurance market to ensure that we can secure competitive products on behalf of our clients.  The rotation in employee benefits will be in each of the teams that manage the insurance products described above:

  • Accident and Health (International health, travel and income protection) – General insurance 
  • Domestic Health (Private health insurance) – Private Health insurance 
  • Group Life and Disability (Salary continuance and death benefits) – Life insurance

What can you expect?

You will get exposure to all aspects of the work that our teams do on behalf of our clients.  This will include:

  • Claims and data analysis
  • Managing a portfolio of allocated clients
  • Supporting Account Managers and Client Services Teams 
  • Preparing documentation for client presentations and meetings
  • Providing high quality client and insured person service and advice  
  • Development, implementation and management of risk management and insurance programs

We are looking for graduates that can be mindful of risk, compliance, regulation and legislative requirements in your role and interactions with members, clients and insurers. 

Our hiring criteria:

  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident
  • Be in your final year of a university degree or have completed your degree in the past 2 years
  • Open to applicants from diverse backgrounds, including Biological/Physical Sciences and Commerce
  • Graduates with a minimum of 65% grade point average (credit average)
  • Involvement with extra-curricular activities such as volunteering, sporting teams and/or community initiatives 

We are keen to hear from graduates who have an interest in working in an industry that puts the health and wellbeing of people at the forefront of what we do.  We are looking for a graduate that has an aptitude for analysis, an eye for detail along with an ability to work with multiple stakeholders. The graduate will also be able to work within a large team environment as well as autonomously.
