It’s an exciting time in Technology at NAB. We’ve committed to making it simpler and easier for our customers and people. We build and run technology, manage and deliver changes and deliver crucial services to customers across all of NAB’s distribution channels. Degrees and majors you’ll need

We’ll consider degrees/majors in:

• Software Engineering

Please note that with the above qualifications, you’ll need to have studied a major in technology.

Sub streams

You’ll need to choose a sub stream within Technology. You can choose from the following:

• Engineering (Development Operations) - This stream sits across multiple technology functions. This stream has a focus on developing, supporting and enhancing various NAB systems and underlying infrastructure. The systems deliver critical services and projects within the organisation and helps drive productivity within Technology and across the enterprise
• Engineering (Mainframe) - Mainframe technology remains relevant and critical to NAB’s success. We develop graduates to become passionate mainframe technologists, who can deliver products and services imperative to the success of NAB in our Australian and New Zealand markets
• Security - Our Information Security Services teams protect information, enable innovation and deliver services to the highest of industry standards. The team utilise proven leading edge security technology and industry best practices to provide advice and solutions the business needs to engage securely with the enterprise and customers
• Infrastructure and Service Management - Our infrastructure and service management teams provide project infrastructure delivery and support, across on-premise and off-premise (cloud) computer, storage and network elements, and proactive management of technology issues and problems
• Architecture - Our Architecture and Strategy teams play a key role in NAB’s success through designing technology solutions that deliver a great experience for our customers and colleagues. The team supports our colleagues in sequencing their investments wisely through technology roadmap development, finding opportunities to deliver value to our customers through innovative uses of technology
• Business Analysis - This stream sits across multiple Technology functions at NAB. There is a focus on investigating operational needs and opportunities, working with stakeholders, creating recommendations and assisting in acceptance testing. This stream drives organisational goals and productivity within Technology and NAB

The work you’ll do in Technology

You may be involved with some of the following activities:

• find innovative solutions to real life problems, and simplify the technology landscape wherever possible
• use market leading tools and platforms
• work on new technology projects and process automation
• analyse and improve business systems and processes 
• work with businesses to build agile, stable and secure technology services
• work on security controls (including cyber security and intrusion prevention)
• create and implement solution design
• technical programming
• reporting and analytics

Our graduate program is designed to develop the foundations for our leading talent in Technology. Graduates will enhance their knowledge, skills and understanding of technologies and how they apply in the enterprise’s environments. Our graduates successfully transition into analyst roles within their chosen Technology stream.
