Application Process & Interviews at Nova Systems

8.4
8.4 rating for Recruitment, based on 14 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
There were the psychology and another test with patterns.
Graduate, Canberra - 29 Jan 2020
Following the typical CV and resume submission, Nova was happy to conduct my interview over the phone as I was living in a different city. This then progressed to a psychological/aptitude test.
Midlevel, Canberra - 28 Jan 2020
The interview process was very straight forward. If you are applying for an interstate job, you can choose to do a Skype call at home or with an Operations Manager in your closest office so you have the option of meeting the employers in person. Psychometric assessment is done after shortlisting and a potential second and less formal interview (coffee and a chat).
Graduate, Brisbane - 28 Jan 2020
Interview was casual and very friendly environment. Felt very welcoming and interviewers made an effort to ease the nerves
Graduate, Adelaide - 16 Dec 2019
The interview process was more like a discussion, which gave me the freedom to talk about my assets and experience in my own terms. I suspect this also gave the interviewing team an insight to my workplace demeanour and attitude.
Graduate, Adelaide - 06 Dec 2019
My recruitment process consisted of an initial application, a phone interview with a member of the recruiting team and then a face-to-face interview with the Melbourne office manager, after which I had to get a police check and complete a psych assessment. I was kept in the loop all the way through with frequent phone calls from recruitment
Graduate, Melbourne - 05 Dec 2019
Fairly standard process, of an interview followed by online aptitude and psychological testing
Graduate, Adelaide - 05 Dec 2019
I was hired after completing the work experience program. I think there is a slight bias towards people that they know (who have completed work experience) because they want to make sure that you truly fit with the company culture. The interview process was what you would expect from a company and a psychological assessment is also completed with the results revealed to you once you are hired.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
Be patient, you will get an answer. I was accepted and had to wait around for an extremely long time to know about start dates and to know where i would be

They can do practise tests for the assessment and for interviews just be relaxed and answer the questions. Best to have a few examples ready for the questions.
Graduate, Canberra - 29 Jan 2020
Research the company and its clients. Do some research on your interviewers to get an idea of what they do/how long they have been with the company. Make a list of questions to ask during the interview. Be relaxed and confident, smile and laugh
