High level of collaboration between members of team highly encouraged and required to share ideas and develop plans. There is extensive collaboration exposure with other engineering departments, planning and operations. Everyone is always helpful to help even when very busy.

Socialising is great, culture is okay but a bit down at the moment due to the oil prices. Within the team, teamwork is great. Departments tend to stick to themselves though and have an us vs. them mentality.

Good culture. Focus on safety and employee wellbeing, even in difficult times. Good structure (technical mentor and buddy), plus good interaction with HR in early part of induction for any issues requiring resolution. Good socialising, and a well-developed graduate cohort. Nevertheless, other employees are positive and friendly, regardless of age or gender

There is disregard for the standard working hours and people will do more hours even though sometimes it feels like this is just to put out the correct look. I love that everyone seems to cycle to work. The people are great.

Working in an isolated, field-type environment means that teamwork and building positive relationships with work colleagues is of utmost importance. By day, we all work together to keep wells and plant equipment operational. And at night, people eat dinner, gym, talk and play sports together. The company has an enviable work culture and really makes an effort to look after its people.

Office hours are flexible which really suits me, and I have a good trust relationship with my boss which makes coming to work enjoyable. I work in a small team which means I have the advantage of working closely with my boss. In larger teams I have observed that there are sub-structures to ensure that everyone is supported.

Varies within the company. Very social and active graduate group and social clubs (after hours). Teamwork is generally strong, but communication between different teams could be improved.

The company culture is good, there are many opportunities to socialise in and outside of work with events organised through a social club and also a dedicated graduate team where you can meet new people. Cooperation and team work is critical within my department as we need to communicate with many different teams across the company.

The GLNG project is broken into upstream and downstream operations. Downstream operations has a general manager, followed by engineering manager, plant manager, EHS manager and stakeholder manager. Under each manager there are team leaders and team members. Within downstream operations the operators and technical staff work symbiotically to achieve common goals. Downstream operations have recently started a social club which allows employees and their families to socialise outside of work.

The culture has varied quite a bit - being in an office with few other geologists, there is limited social activities between us. My team is small, but has occasional outings/social gatherings. The current culture is that all lunches/events are basically own expense - which is sometimes frustrating. Teamwork is good - as everyone is happy to help with questions or technical issues.
