I get a variety of tasks and so it depends a bit on the week. However, I am getting a wide range of exposure and lots of development opportunities. Whilst there are weeks with less interesting tasks, I understand that they need to be done and so am glad that they are of value to the company.

I have a changing role which is good to ensure variability and to stop boredom but sometimes I would like a bit more structure.

Providing stratigraphic services to all departments within the company which means that we have a wide variety of locations and ages to analyse

My role is to support commissioning and start-up of the LNG facility. I ensure that the plant has been built to design and that the plant is started up within the safe operating envelope and meets the process performance specifications. On a day-to-day basis, I walk down the plant, review procedures, review process trends etc.

Being a field support engineer requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a range of tasks competing for priority. My daily routine often involves keeping track of and reporting on well issues, troubleshooting equipment, site visits with operators and longer-term project type work (i.e., equipment modifications).

Provide support for government reporting, technical support for various projects and studies. Primary point of contact for third party operators i.e. universities.

Day-to-day monitoring, optimisation and troubleshooting of plant process operations. Justification, development and implementation of engineering changes for improvements. Involvement with risk assessments relating to changes in operation. Extensive shutdown support involvement, during preparation stages of scoping and procedure development, as well as vessel inspections.
