There's a very low amount of females in the IT area in this company but there's a shortage overall in the industry. Suncorp does a good job and having extra programs set aside for women such as Women in IT summer internship

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?

I don't think this is an issue, although I haven't paid much attention to it. I think in some areas staff are expected to behave with a higher degree of professionalism, but I wouldn't think that a person's ability to act professionally is determined by their background.
