ThoughtWorks are actively involved in trying to understand and improve the situation for women working in IT where they are a minority. They assist related organisations as well as internally having very inclusive policies and people. ThoughtWorks has won awards for being an employer of choice for women as well so no need to go just based on my word either. ThoughtWorks are dedicated to removing the gender pay gap and release data showing their compliance with equal pay. ThoughtWorks are an organisation very interested in social justice in all respects and would not allow discrimination of people based on their ethnicity, LGBT status or gender. There is a LGBT group at ThoughtWorks who are active and listened to by the organisation. I was involved in the group's recent efforts to ensure more employees were aware of LGBT issues particularly trans* issues. These were all very well received and encouraged. We also have interns from Career Trackers who support indigenous university students
