The pay is very competitive to private sector at entry and lower level positions, but this is less the case as you move up in the organisation

The department aligns to public sector wage awards. Responsibility is rewarded financially. Bonuses do not occur in the public sector, but public sector holidays and leave loading are enjoyable perks.

The salary is very high compared to other places of work. As a government organisation, there are no bonuses.

There is availability of salary packaging and gym facilities

Salary Packaging- we are entitled to Fringe Benefits Tax because we work for a Public Benevolent Institution and can use this to package rent, cars, mortgage etc.
