Salary at Westpac Group Australia

7.5
7.5 rating for Salary, based on 48 reviews
What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
There is a salary cap for graduates. The regular salary increase per year is on par with other banks. You can get $1000 worth of Westpac shares if you stay for a year. A bonus is based on your behavior not really performance, and it isn't much. There is a pool of funds for bonuses and the top performers get the largest percentage.

Pay progresses with your career. Bonuses annually.

Good for a graduate starting salary, but I think there should be greater scope to differentiate yourself.

Seems to be in line, if not more, than the market for a person in my position (although I have nothing to compare it to).

No bonus for graduates. However all staff get $1000 in shares

Pay is quite reasonable; I think lower bonuses could be made more accessible to incentivised staff to reach for the higher bonuses. There should also be bonuses that reward staff for behavioral goals being reached.

pay is definitely competitive. very happy in that regard

Salary is ok, but disappointing that grads don't receive even a small bonus when we are performance reviewed and do real work for the company.

The pay at Westpac is competitive when compared to other graduate programs.

I am aware that other graduate programs across the IT Industry may provide larger pay packages, however, Westpac's graduate package is in line with the other 3 Big banks of Australia.

Relative to other IT grad roles are competitor companies, our pay is fine.

The employee perks are not very good or even real perks, better off finding the best deal at other banks. Things like no fees on bank accounts are almost standard now. 0.2% extra interest is sad. Generally, more expensive than other banks so the perks don't even offset that. We do have drinks; half the time they are "self-funded" though. Other events happen like the Christmas party which Westpac pays for.
