I have a busy and challenging work load and have been given a wide array of tasks to complete. I'm never bored or out of work which I see as a big positive.

Day to day I prepare tax returns and financial reports

I work with small to medium businesses looking after their compliance and tax matters.

I am an accountant and my day-to-day responsibilities include tax returns and financial accounts.

I get to spend a lot of time out at clients and actually liaising with them face to face which is not really something I was expecting to have the opportunity to do as a first year employee.

As supervisor, I deal with the compliance and business advisory work for the larger clients in my team. I am also responsible for my team's workflow management and supervising the junior staff members.

Preparing financials, BAS/IAS and income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.

Letters, company documentation etc.

Primarily tax compliance, which is not always exciting. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I am appreciating the opportunities to learn, particularly from my manager.

I would like to participate in more business advisory meetings and planning rather than just compliance work

Within my first few weeks I was given meaningful work with the support to be able to complete it. Within Business Advisory there is a lot of compliance work, however there are always variations making it interesting.

I find them challenging at times, but for the most part rewarding when I grasp a new concept

Communication with clients for the team, reviewing financial statements, ITR's and BAS's, Preparing letters of advice. Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for larger groups.
