Head of Experience Design at WorkCover Queensland
What is your role at WorkCover?
I lead the Experience design team responsible for the design and execution of the customer experience (CX) / human centred design strategy and framework. Our activities include customer research and feedback, insights (including complaints) analysis, journey mapping as well as persona design and development.
What qualifications do you have?
Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, Grad. Dip. Information Environments
What was your first role?
First real job was a user researcher at the ATO, but prior to that I was a Research Assistant at QUT. I was the project lead on a software intervention program for people with Type II diabetes.

What kind of leader are you?
I’m fairly laid back and like to ensure that people have the opportunity to learn, and lead as much as possible. We’re a creative team, so we really like to make sure that everyone has their ideas heard, and has the opportunity to experiment and practice.
What advice would you give a new Graduate?
Take advantage of the fantastic opportunity to learn and get passionate about the various roles you are offered. You might want to end up in a specific part of the business, and it’s always good to have goals. But the biggest advantage a graduate has is their ability to really understand the business and to bring that knowledge at networks to their roles, both during the graduate program and beyond.
