2021 Developer Graduate Program

Developers build our products. 

You'll have the opportunity to work across our Xero teams, innovating new features, fixing bugs and enhancing functionality. If you enjoy learning and want to write code that makes our customers happy, we want to hear from you. 

As a grad, you'll get to rotate through different teams before you choose a career path to pursue your passion. You'll learn about what each team is doing and get involved in the technology stacks and projects they're working on.

Our teams are made up of full-stack developers, front-end and back-end specialists, and quality engineers. You'll work with technologies like AWS, C#, React, Swift, and SQL. We'll help you on your way to becoming a full-stack developer in your first year. 

You'll have a passion for writing code, learning, sharing ideas and be keen to work in an agile environment. We welcome grads with any qualification, not necessarily a university degree. 

Ideally, you'll:

• Have technical examples of work outside your course, such as developing a new framework, learning a new language, being active on Stack Overflow, or have a great GitHub profile
• Be able to take a logical approach to work and cope well with change
• Be a great communicator who likes working in agile teams 

Preparing to apply:

We'll need a copy of your CV, as well as links to any online projects, websites, GitHub/Stack overflow, or anything else you want to show us.

We'll also need a copy of your academic transcript – we know it won't be complete until the end of the year, so just send us everything so far.

Instead of a cover letter, in your online application, we'll ask you to tell us a bit about yourself and your thoughts on technology.

You need to be a citizen or permanent resident to apply. We'll need a copy of your passport and visa for a start date in Feb 2021.
