About this course

This qualification is for indentured apprentices who are currently employed as Apprentice Electricians. Throughout this course, you will learn skills to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in building and premises. You will also learn the skills and knowledge required to interpret electrical drawings, circuit development, transformers, lighting, three-phase induction motors, single-phase motors, circuit protection, and installation requirements. On successful completion of this qualification, you will meet the ERAC requirements for an 'Electrician's licence'. Training for this course will be delivered through a combination of on and off-the-job learning strategies which are consistent with a formal apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

This course is for apprenticeship training only. Students must be employed as apprentices in a relevant industry.
