In this major you’ll learn writing, event management, networking and organisational skills, which are needed for PR work in corporate or consultancy environments. You’ll learn how to help businesses achieve their goals and how to represent them in the best possible light while considering the needs of all stakeholders.
You will gain hands-on experience by developing strategies and pitching ideas for real organisations as well as undertaking a professional internship in your final year. You can start your career with membership of the Public Relations Student Chapter, which will provide you with networking and career-building opportunities.
Public Relations is offered as part of the Bachelor of Commerce. You can enhance your studies with a secondary major or choose from a range of elective units to support your career goals.
When coupled with Journalism you can complete this major as part of our Bachelor of Commerce or our Bachelor of Arts. Your choice determines your core units.
