This course is tailored to industry needs and can be undertaken while working as there are no requirements to attend classes on campus. It offers a solid grounding in corrosion engineering and will help you develop skills that are relevant to the energy and resources industries, particularly for careers in oil and gas, refining and chemical processing, mining and mineral processing, power generation and defence.
Corrosion impacts many infrastructure systems, manufacturing processes and products. Knowledge of the causes and mitigation of corrosion, from the design stage onwards, is fundamental to engineering. Your individual study plan will depend on the availability and sequence of units within the program.
