About this course

This course explores the key characteristics of the international system, the nation state, balance of power and domestic influences on foreign policy. You will examine challenges to world security in the post Cold War era, study great powers and their role in global security and consider the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Your core studies will be supported by two specialist topics chosen to suit your current and future career needs. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in International Relations and National Security, you may transfer to the graduate diploma, and then subsequently enrol in the Master of International Relations and National Security.
