About this course

This course is designed to help you enter the mining industry. You will develop a detailed knowledge of the mining industry and become particularly familiar with mining engineering methods. This course is designed for those outside the discipline of mining engineering who wish to become knowledgeable in the specialist skills of the mining industry and in particular become familiar with mining engineering methods. It prepares you for positions in the mining industry, both operational and management, in both open-pit and underground work and partially satisfies the entry requirements for the postgraduate Master of Engineering Science (Mining) study. The Master of Engineering Science (Mining) is available for further studies upon completion of this course. Please refer to the handbook for additional course overview information.
