This course is designed for those who wish to move into a different discipline from which they have gained their undergraduate degree. It provides opportunity for students to continue to complete a Master of Professional Engineering which will qualify them as professional engineers.
The following majors are available:
Electrical Engineering Major (MJRP-ELENG)
Electricity is a key energy source in the development and progress of contemporary society. Since fossil fuels are a finite resource, the development of alternative sources of electrical energy such as solar and wind is vital. This major addresses challenges in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. Emergent technologies like smart grid and distributed generation are covered in detail.
Chemical Engineering (MJRP-CHEMG)
This major in Chemical Engineering will provide students from other discipline areas to gain content knowledge in areas specific to Chemical Engineering. The graduate students from this major will be able to fast track a career in chemical processing industries.
