This course builds on the graduate certificate and graduate diploma to provide you with the opportunity to undertake an individual research project under the guidance of one of our highly experienced staff.
These courses allow graduates from all disciplines to develop their expertise in international relations and global security. Area studies of important regions will be combined with analysis of diverse security challenges emerging in the 21st Century.
The Master of International Relations and National Security is divided into two streams: a dissertation (100 credit points), and a coursework stream (100 credit points). The dissertation stream is available to those students who have gained a course weighted average of 70 percent and above during their postgraduate studies in the Graduate Program in International Relations and National Security (IRNS). The coursework stream requires students to complete an Individual Project (50 credit points), as well as the completion of two IRNS elective units.
