Master of Architecture at Curtin University
The reason why I chose to study architecture was because as a child, I was always curious about buildings and about how cities were created. That is why one of the areas that have been the most interesting is how to design buildings.
I am interested in many areas of architecture; however, one of the areas that have captured my interest so far has been urban design. Furthermore, what has been most challenging so far has been to get what I am mentally visualising down on paper. However, what motivates me is that every day at university brings me one step closer to my dream of becoming an architect.
I have always been passionate about Architecture as I have imaginative and creative thinking skills, the ability to see the big picture as well as giving attention to the smallest detail and I have an understanding of history, and cultural and environmental concerns. I have studied the relationship between the natural and constructed environment, the architectural proposition and the occupation of space.
This course has helped me learn more about the historical and cultural past while also learn about the current problems and how we as architects should respond to these concerns. In 2 weeks time will start my masters and I look forward to studying and learning about urban design and sustainability specifically. I was always interested in learning about the environment and how we can help minimise the impact of humans on the environment. I seek to gain experience and skills to help me become a successful architect. I hope that I will complete my master's and open my own firm.
