Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
Maternity leave/child care leave is encouraged. Company is very focused on diversity and personal circumstances are not considered.

Men and women both receive three months paid paternity leave, women receive an extra $500 into their super each year, flexible working and working from home for parents, several of my colleagues have brought their kids to work when daycare and babysitters fall through, huge Abilities Network for disabled staff and advocates, huge Pride network, substantial monetary donations and investments to the Abilities and Pride networks, staff members get one paid day of volunteer leave each year, we have 13 registered charities that we can donate to through our pay and the company will match the donations dollar for dollar.

There is definitely diversity all over ANZ and no one discriminates. They take such things seriously. In terms of diversity in leadership management - I do think that can be further improved. Can't comment on childcare or maternity leave much as I've not experienced it myself but I do hear good things about it from others.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
I believe ANZ offers programs for those of less privileged backgrounds to learn about the bank. Not too sure about this space...
