My colleagues are supportive and happy to assist if I am unsure of something. There is a hierarchy at the firm, however, the partners are generally approachable to assist graduates.

In the office hours, the culture is professional but still friendly. People from partner to fellow graduate have quick chats at the photocopier or in the kitchen. Teamwork is easy to do at my firm

It is a particularly hierarchical environment, although I believe there is a strong sense of teamwork. The culture depends on the team that you work in - there is no unifying firm culture that I can perceive

The hierarchy of the workplace depends largely on the team that you work in. In some teams lots of graduates work directly with their partners, while in others work is delegated through senior associates and lawyers.

The firm culture is very friendly and open. Law firms are traditionally quite hierarchical bodies, however Ashurst does well to avoid this by encouraging team-wide social event

While the culture is one of excellent in the standard of work, Ashurst generally has an 'open door' policy which encourages teamwork and asking questions along the way

My colleagues are extremely friendly and down to earth. Although law practices are inherently hierarchical, I have found Ashurst to be a collegiate firm where support staff, lawyers and partners treat each other with equal respect
Graduate, Brisbane - 06 Jun 2016
During work hours, there is an emphasis on collaborative work practices. I have also had the benefit of mentoring outside any program
Graduate, Melbourne - 06 Jun 2016
A friendly, approachable and supportive workplace. Most matters involve working in a team, with more senior lawyers and partners delegating work according to team capability and strengths.
Graduate, Sydney - 06 Jun 2016
The culture is one of friendliness yet of high performance. I would say that team structures are generally fairly flat, as a graduate I have a lot of communication with the lawyers in my team
