They offer the same jobs to everyone. Nobody cares what box you put yourself in, just how well you get the job done. Diversity for the sake of diversity is wrong, grow up.

The workplace seems fully respectful to all colleagues. I've not seen any activity that made me or anyone else uncomfortable. I am a young white man, so take that with a grain of salt.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Feb 2018
I have been impressed with the company's attitude to all of the above areas - defence and engineering has a tendency to be dominated by white hetero males but I have worked with a diverse range of colleagues from all backgrounds. It is especially attractive to me to be able to have a child and return to the workforce with minimal interruption to my career and I have seen many of my colleagues do so, and have a very rewarding experience of parenthood and work life balance which the company encourages through flexibility, working from home with agile structures, laptops and RSA secure logins from home etc.
Graduate, Adelaide (Edinburgh Parks) - 26 Feb 2018
My company is very diverse and offers leave and so on to cater for the diversity.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Feb 2018
There is a lot the company needs to do to be diverse. The entire leadership team and most manager are made up of white males, mostly in their 50s. There are very few women in the office and not many are managers. Though the current cohort of grads is diverse the existing experienced employee base it not.

Graduate, Adelaide - 23 Feb 2018
I heard that the company is trying to recruit more diversity which is good. It will be great to have a company full of different culture background if possible.

One of the most family friend organisations I have ever been a part of.

Diversity in the workplace is greatly addressed.
Graduate, Sydney, Garden Island - 20 Feb 2018
Very focused on diversity. We target all the aspects mentioned in questions apart from sexuality. The sexuality is not often discussed and those that choose to share their sexuality are supported no matter what their sexual orientation is.
Graduate, Adelaide - 20 Feb 2018
Although from my experience from university of low female numbers in engineering disciplines, BAE Systems tends to show great gender diversity in hiring. We also have a large ethnic diversity with colleagues originating from multiple different countries religions. Staff retention is quite high large company and promotion awarded for work motivation and dedication excellence. Maternity leave is another of the necessities that BAE provides to its staff.
Graduate, Sydney - 20 Feb 2018
Unfortunately our industry cannot hire certain nationalities due to legal requirements but there is a huge focus on diversity in terms of women, age, background and so forth. Recruitment is targeted at making sure we get a diverse range of applicants and there are many aspects of the business (flexible working hours, etc) that allow retention of for example mothers to come back to work.
Graduate, Adelaide - 20 Feb 2018
Difficult for an engineering company to be diverse (in gender) when there is a lack of female engineers.
Graduate, Cairns - 20 Feb 2018
The company is still very male-dominated, but the graduate level is much more evenly split across genders.
Graduate, Canberra - 20 Feb 2018
BAE has a strong focus on diversity, recognising it is more than a mandate - it is an essential part of a successful business both nationally and globally
