Pros and cons of working at BP Australia

Pros

  • Flexibility and work-life balance Support, you feel like a member of the team Variety in work content and the opportunity to develop and be challenged.

  • Exciting industry to be in.

  • Culture - everyone is very friendly and supportive (personally and professionally).

  • Some nice people here.

  • Flexibility, very friendly atmosphere.

Cons

    • Some cultural aspects, such as safety attitudes.

    • Minimal transparency on opportunities being available.

    • Depending on what team you are in you may be required to do a significant amount of work that does not utilise your tertiary level of education (typical of teams that do not have well established roles for graduates). I do understand though that someone has to do this work and a graduate is the most likely candidate...but it should not dominate in terms of time.

    • Graduate work is quite unfulfilling; lack of openness to fresh ideas.

    • Slightly bureaucratic.
