Pros & Cons
Flexibility and work-life balance Support, you feel like a member of the team Variety in work content and the opportunity to develop and be challenged.
Exciting industry to be in.
Culture - everyone is very friendly and supportive (personally and professionally).
Some nice people here.
Flexibility, very friendly atmosphere.
Some cultural aspects, such as safety attitudes.
Minimal transparency on opportunities being available.
Depending on what team you are in you may be required to do a significant amount of work that does not utilise your tertiary level of education (typical of teams that do not have well established roles for graduates). I do understand though that someone has to do this work and a graduate is the most likely candidate...but it should not dominate in terms of time.
Graduate work is quite unfulfilling; lack of openness to fresh ideas.
Slightly bureaucratic.

Smaller company structure means fewer opportunities to move up quickly.
High level management is very accessible and an effort is made to have a relationship between the upper and lower level roles. There is the opportunity to ask questions and advice from higher management and a large number of informal opportunities.
Open space, close to train station, range of facilities and amenities - even have discounted massage sessions. Dress code is business casual, more on the formal side and each Friday there is a casual Friday.
Lengthy and thorough. Many steps to get to the interview stage, once at interview stage, recruitment was relatively straight forward.

I think the building we are located in was chosen because of its environmentally friendly features (electricity, water, etc.). Support a carbon emissions trading scheme.
