7.8
7.8 rating for Culture, based on 24 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Work culture is really good. I very rarely have to work after hours. I have regular contact with senior executives. The teams I have worked in are quite collegiate.
Graduate, Canberra - Invalid Date
Very inclusive workplace with a focus on transparency which can sometimes be a drag on change and encourage multiple handling of projects. Socialising and networking is encouraged through cross-divisional interactions.
Midlevel, Canberra - Invalid Date
Treasury has a culture of inclusivity and collaboration. The people here are great. The hierarchy is relatively flat and graduates are given a lot of responsibility and autonomy.
Graduate, Canberra - Invalid Date
Treasury has a supportive team environment and passionate and knowledgeable staff.
Midlevel, Canberra - Invalid Date
The Department is relatively flat by public service standards. For most policy issues there is generally only one person above you to clear products through. For more complex items, however, this can extend to three or more. Teamwork and cooperation is critical to the work that we complete, however there is not a great deal of socialisation outside of hours.
Midlevel, Canberra - Invalid Date
The culture is open and welcoming in office hours. There are many sports teams and external activities taking place, though there could be more opportunities to socialise.
Entry level, Canberra - Invalid Date
It's a relatively flat structure which means that juniors get to work on major issues. It's a generally collegiate atmosphere, but the extent of the socialising is dependent on which area you are in. Work life balance is great here except during Budget.
Midlevel, Canberra - Invalid Date
Very flat structure with (often) good managers, great graduate culture, however some people in Treasury (especially mid-level) can be introverted and a bit quirky
