Job Satisfaction at Department of the Treasury

At the moment I'm working on futuristic legislation.

Time sensitive requests from Ministers' Offices, longer term research, economic forecasting.

I work on policy analysis with considerable responsibility for the policies assigned to me, which range from high-profile to smaller items.

In my role I am given plenty of responsibility on a wide variety of tasks.

I provide advice to government on taxation policy.

Providing advice and briefing to government, developing appropriate policy settings.

Responsibilities change regularly. Longer term projects may include the development of financial sector policy or ensuring the passage of legislation.

I write briefing, correspondence, and review and provide policy comments on documents, perform coordination tasks and other tasks as required.

I deal mainly with policy and engagement with the states.
