The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Development Chemist to join our team on a 12 month basis. Based within our Innovation Centre in Clayton, you will be developing high quality market leading products which will drive key business initiatives.
A typical day will see you:
- Developing new decorative water-based formulations and products
- Investigating new raw materials and formulations
- Working collaboratively with R&D, Marketing and Production teams
- Ensuring products consistently meet customers performance and quality expectations
- Complying with all Safety and Sustainability requirements
- What you will bring and develop
A proactive self-starter, you will be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment, while also being able to take direction and display an eagerness to continually learn and develop.
To be successful in the role you will also demonstrate;
- Tertiary qualification in Chemistry (or related subject)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multi task and take accountability for your actions and deliver to deadlines without compromising on quality
- Ability to work independently with the confidence to ask questions when unclear
- Practical experience within a laboratory environment and formulation experience would be highly regarded.
