always able to talk about training possibilities with managers. there is also an established training process for everyone in our department.

I have done a huge amount of formal and informal training from: Kepner Tregoe Problem Solving and Decision Making Franklin Covey Interaction Essentials & Productivity Workshops Lean Manufacturing training programs from TXM and CTPM Informal training by getting hands on experience with trades and factory operators, as well as contractors. Pulled aside by my manager to just 'go and observe' a person/activity so I can pass on future knowledge.

The graduate program includes 4 structured workshops each year to build up knowledge and skills. This training is for the most part very beneficial. The company could probably do better on it's informal training. Day-to-day processes are not always well documented or passed on to others. As such, it feels as though the best practice way of completing many tasks is not standardized.

Training could improve. There are a lot of processes that have a "sink or swim" attitude related to them. I think this is the area which needs the most focus within DuluxGroup.

We can go to our Training Academy to learn about our products, sessions are held for our customers frequently and we are encouraged to attend as many as we like. There are many avenues for development, I am in the graduate program which runs for 3 years and gives you access to a big network of other graduates and senior area experts in the business who run days on project management, finance fundamentals, working in a different function, presentation skills etc. The business also has programs to develop managers and develop time management skills. It is also encouraged to bring up external training or seminar opportunities that you think relevant to your job, I have attended several retailing excellence mornings where speakers present on topics they have experience in.
