While a graduate you can only go so far as you are in a rotation for 6 months. However you are able to ask for jump ups where there is a company need. You aren't limited by the graduate program.

I don't think it's very easy at Ericsson. There are a lot of internal certification that you need to do to move into a different job stage which hasn't been communicated as to how you can move up.

Huge amount of documentation to move up. which makes it feel less personal. It isn't a case of a manager giving you a new position due to your great work or work ethic, it is due to a person providing justification on why they feel they should move up. some people are not programmed to step up naturally, even though they may be far more qualified than members who have moved up.

Does not look too easy to move up the ranks. Can't comment much on this as I have not joined a specific team.

There's an internal process of assessment, before being considered for a promotion. This is all dependent on the headcount requirements
Midlevel, Melbourne - 12 Oct 2017
Promotion possibilities are there however you have to take your own initiative here (for the most part) and opportunities are not frequent currently. My manager has added me to a talent list which will assist in my visibility and promotion potential within the company, however this is not guaranteed.

It appears straightforward to move up if you are a performer.

Depending on your job role it may be easier or harder to meet the prerequisites for getting certified, which is required to move up.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 10 Oct 2017
They are quite tight around job stages and the criteria you need to have met before moving up. A lot of people go external because they can get more pay sooner than ticking all the boxes before they can move up
Midlevel, Melbourne - 09 Oct 2017
Upward mobility is limited by the business climate and certification exams. Availability of more highly qualified roles is not always there.

The only area where promotion possibilities are great is the area where people keep on moving (~20 team members left in the past 1.5 years) and they just get the job because there is no one else.

I do not know yet. Have heard stories that is easy if you are up to it and you deserve it which is what is expected from a company such are Ericsson.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Oct 2017
This seems to be very difficult - as I understand, years spent in a role plays are higher role than merit alone and it can be hard for grads to move up.
