Pros & Cons

  • Knowledge sharing, On-job training, Flexibility, High level of support from both colleagues and managers.
  • The flexibility of working hours.
  • Flexibility.
  • Work-Life Balance and flexibility suited to all working ages and gender.
  • I'm learning so much, and work with excellent people who are very friendly, and will help you at the drop of a hat. There are some good benefits like having a big phone plan, discounts off movies, etc.
  • Changes take a lot of time to implement.
  • The laptop you get isn't as good as you'd expect for an Telecommunications/IT company. It can be very frustrating to work with.
  • Nothing particularly bad to report.
  • The remunerations are slightly below the average.
  • Most really technical work has been offshored.

Huge amount of documentation to move up. which makes it feel less personal. It isn't a case of a manager giving you a new position due to your great work or work ethic, it is due to a person providing justification on why they feel they should move up. some people are not programmed to step up naturally, even though they may be far more qualified than members who have moved up.

They have a diversity council and team which actively tries to increase the diversity of Ericsson workforce. They have been primarily focussed on women in previous years but have started to broaden to LBGT and people of different cultural backgrounds.

Everyone in the company is very respectful of each other but also able to have a laugh with one another and create a happy workplace. Most of the work is made of small teams of about 5-6 people that you work with on a project and then you are a part of a much larger program team. Amongst the graduates, it is a very tight group who will hang out with each other outside of work. Mid-level to upper level management are also very inclusive at inviting people to come to events and hang out.

Very poor. Management unwilling to give rises because you are a "graduate"- once you have been a grad, you're forever considered a grad. I heard a person who has been in the company for 9 years get referred to as a grad.

Depends on the area, if can be done remotely then can be really flexible but if need to access some facility then need to be on-site especially if there deadline needing to meet.
