What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
The pay is standard for a graduate starting in this industry.

Pay does not align to level of responsibility

Salary is not great, and this is a known fact about this company. But this is compensated by the great and flexible working culture. Although I am not too concerned with the salary level at the moment, I am stuck at a graduate salary as I could not secure a permanent position due to circumstance.

Numerically the pay and bonuses are average. I think the fact pay is directly related with how many job assessments you are willing to sit through is a bit of an insult on employees. Employees are expected to work with some amazing skillsets yet if one sits an assessment and one does not, even with same quality of work, one will be paid more.

Once you leave the graduate program at Ericsson I don't think that we are paid properly. We are considered to be graduates forever even though the work we are doing is at the same level as an integration engineer who they hired directly.

I feel that it is a little under what the average market rate for a similar job in my field.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 12 Oct 2017
Pay is linked to individual performance and typically reviewed on a yearly basis. Bonuses are given on a yearly basis however is subject to company and project performance in which an employee might only have minimal influence over.

I feel that overtime work should be acknowledged and paid to the employee.
Graduate, Sydney - 10 Oct 2017
I believe that the company is expecting people to be happy with the non-financial benefits to stay around and the flexible hours.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 10 Oct 2017
Pay is reasonable. Bonuses in Australia are tied to underperforming regions so will be low.

Base salary is decent for a grad.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Oct 2017
Pay is below what other companies offer their grads. Bonuses are dependent on how the region/area you are in performs

My guess is that Ericsson pays pretty much the normal going rate for engineers with similar experience. Nothing fancy.
Experienced, Melbourne - 09 Oct 2017
Very poor. Management unwilling to give rises because you are a "graduate"- once you have been a grad, you're forever considered a grad. I heard a person who has been in the company for 9 years get referred to as a grad.
