What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
While it is comparable to the market rate in audit, is it still a pretty sore point. The good thing is that progressions and promotions are yours to lose (i.e. if you stay on track and put in the work, the promotions will happen)
Graduate, Perth - 16 Jul 2019
Pay for graduates is good because they pay for your CA study, and you have other perks like time off in lieu. When you are at a senior level the pay is not as rewarding; however, I know there will be changes from October 2019

No bonuses, low pay. No pay transparency beyond graduate level.

We do not receive bonuses as a general rule whoever in previous years, due to the performance of PAS, we received credit vouchers from the partners which was a lovely thank you for our work. Every level got the same amount which was also really great.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 12 Jul 2019
Fair, given the role and in comparison to the industry. Could be a little higher though
Midlevel, Adelaide - 12 Jul 2019
Below market average
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Jul 2019
No bonuses. Pay is fine, and typical of what you'd expect at a big 4. It's competitive to get into, so don't expect a great salary. However, with each year your salary grows and if you outperform you can start negotiating larger pay raises and promotions almost immediately. Great growth opportunities. The company also spends a lot of money on you with events, travel, L&D, etc.

Pay and bonuses aren't great, but I expected this.
Graduate, Sydney - 08 Jul 2019
Pay isn't much for the hours but it's all about the resume.
Graduate, Melbourne - 05 Jul 2019
the opportunity for pay increase and bonuses is there if justified
Graduate, Sydney - 05 Jul 2019
Pay is very low and not competitive relative to other Big 4 as you progress beyond graduate level.
Midlevel, Canberra - 05 Jul 2019
Terrible, way below market average.
Graduate, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
Very underpaid. Bonuses are small and rare
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
Underpaid for work and hours.

The pay at my company is average for a non-specialised consulting company. Bonuses do occur, but rarely. People do not work at the company for the pay, and that is not the company's main selling point.
Graduate, Melbourne - 04 Jul 2019
Pay is not based on performance and is relatively low compared to market averages.
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
I'm not given any bonuses at my level. Obviously I would prefer it if I did. However, I must admit that my pay is quite competitive, and it has risen by quite a bit since I started here (only a year and a half ago).
Midlevel, Melbourne - 04 Jul 2019
Pay is not high enough for the hours worked.
Graduate, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
Good starting salary and compared to my colleagues in other professional service firms, however for the hours I work I am more unsatisfied
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
I think pay at my work is fair and as it isn't my biggest motivator, it's not really something I think about often at this stage of my life. I think bonuses could be better managed and a better strategy in place for rewarding high performance in teams.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Team and 'Family' events - staff of different rank right through to partner go out for events such as bowling or mini golf to help open the lines of communication, Christmas parties, firmwide events, quiz nights etc.
Graduate, Perth - 16 Jul 2019
After 7, dinner and ride home can be expensed back to the company. There are company events that are free e.g. Christmas Parties, there is also a Social Club (fee can be paid upfront or paid each month out from our salary) If you are travelling for work, the traveling budget is pretty generous and can be expensed back to the company.
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Jul 2019
Free dinners - we have a big dinner once every 2 months
Midlevel, Melbourne - 12 Jul 2019
We get end of financial year team lunches, workplace parties in July and December, dinner and taxis when we work late and dinners for special events like winning new clients.

Midlevel, Sydney - 05 Jul 2019
I would say the company doesn't have any unusual perks. The best perks I'd say is getting to travel for work/retreats with all expenses paid.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 04 Jul 2019
Dinner and taxi paid for if working late
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
Dinner and taxis.
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
The company has partnerships with certain health insurers and banks, meaning discounts on packages.
Graduate, Melbourne - 04 Jul 2019
There is a social club that is run by the company which provides events for employees to go to. However there is a monthly membership fee. Depending on how critical pieces of client work are there will be reimbursements for taxis, flights and meals if you are required to work later than normal working hours
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
Perks are available as part of the social club but there are limitations and restrictions that make it difficult to obtain these.
Graduate, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
Social club for $15 gives movie vouchers, Christmas party, food voucher, drinks etc Free dinner and cab if we are working after 7pm, client lunches
Midlevel, Sydney - 04 Jul 2019
