We currently have two exciting and dynamic Finance roles in Consumer Health and Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) in Ermington, Sydney.

What we're looking for in a candidate:

  • You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor Degree in Business/Commerce or Accounting
  • An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry is favourable
  • Strong passion and interest in the placement field

Brand Finance Associate

The ANZ Finance Business Partnering Team supports the Consumer Healthcare Division of GSK. We provide a management reporting service, support strategic decision making and manage the financial planning process.

In this role, you will:

  • To provide financial information and analysis to the ANZ Senior Finance Business Partner.
  • Responsible for Trade and investment spend for the local market
  • To provide finance business partnering services to the Marketing Team through partnerships with decision makers to facilitate the best possible financial outcomes and drive real value.
  • Coordination, preparation and review of monthly Sales Rolling Forecasts, Quarterly Forecast updates and Annual Budget for Australia.
  • Manage, prepare and review the month end and Daily Sales position for the local market
  • Coordination, preparation and review of monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting for Australia and New Zealand.

GMS Finance Business Associate

The GMS Finance Business Partnering Team supports the Consumer Healthcare Division of GSK. They provide a management reporting service, support strategic decision making and manage the financial planning process.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide financial information and analysis to the GMS Senior Finance Business Partner.
  • Provide finance business partnering services to the GMS Manufacturing Leadership Team through partnerships with decision makers to facilitate the best possible financial outcomes and drive real value.
  • Assist in capital flows to ensure that investments are aligned with business strategy, generating adequate returns on investment and promote proper management in capital spend.
  • Assist to drive and support cross functional delivery of targeted efficiencies in Material Usage and Purchase Price Variance. Support all analysis around theses variance for accuracy of reporting.

    • Very fast paced environment

    • The role was sometimes too repetitive.

    • The work itself wasn't aligned to my work goals and career aspirations, possibly the job description wasn't accurate when I applied.

    • Complex structures and multiple locations made it hard to service all businesses equally

    • Time management

    • Pay is low, not many opportunities to move/ grow
