Unfortunately for many IBLs, there is no availability to stay on after the program. For IBLs who need to return to uni, it would have been nice if there was an opportunity to remain part time (whether in the office or in the field)

I was lucky enough to lead this initiative and we are doing so much in so many different areas including gender equality, cultural diversity, Aboriginal and Torres straight islander equality and in particular LGBTQI+ equality

GSK Australia, Abbotsford is an excellent office to work in and you are surrounded by passionate, outgoing, kind and intelligent people. Working in healthcare, people are typically very caring in nature, which I believe to be true of GSK. There are plenty of opportunities to go out and socialise, such as team lunches, "directorate days," office and cultural celebration days.

GSK have a program launched called spectrum to support the LGBT community along with their straight allies. They also have a very good maternity leave policy

Day-to-day role varies, however I worked alongside the commercial team to ensure our promotional and non-promotional materials were up-to-date and compliant alongside the MA code

My mentors and manager were amazing throughout the year. They were able to provide me with constant feedback, as well as provide me with support whenever I needed it

Location is great. Dress for your day has been implemented which makes the work day much more comfortable.

I enjoyed the assessment centre, however I found the online video to be a struggle and intimidating. I personally believed that if I was able to pass the video interview, I could show my personality and skillset much better than I could online.

No bonus for IBLs, but the pay is slightly above average I'd say

Training on the job was fantastic, formal training was harder to organise

Working with your manager work hours can be very flexible as long as you fulfil your required time
